On behalf of Effectory, ET Projects installed melamine panels in their canal house.
Effectory’s large workspace was facing poor acoustics, with a reverberation time of approximately 1.8 seconds. The recommended reverberation time is 0.8 seconds. A long reverberation time can be a significant challenge for employees to function and communicate normally. Given the appearance of the building, it was essential to implement an aesthetically pleasing acoustic solution. Ultimately, melamine panels were chosen, which were installed centrally within the existing grid of the ceiling. Melamine has a sleek appearance and is available in a bright white color. To further improve the acoustics in the space, the other workspace was also fitted with the same panels. Below are some photos of the melamine panels to show the final result.
